Bearing Fruits That Last – Biblical Inspiration for Authors (Julius Mwebia)

John 15:1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me, you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

In Genesis 1:28, just after creation, God blesses man and clearly defines his mandates.
He is expected to be: Fruitful, Multiply, Fill the earth, Subdue and have Dominion. Very powerful.

Then in John 15:5 Jesus says. “He who abides in me, and I in him bears many fruits.” It is the will of God that we live a fruitful life, a life of purpose, a life impact, a life of influence that fills the earth. The earth ought to know that we are around by our impacts on life. We are called and equipped to subdue and take dominion. Not to be subdued by situations and circumstances. To be able to fulfill these mandates, Jesus gives us vital advice, abide in him and let him abide in You.

When Christ is in you, you reign with him. You and Christ make an unbeatable team. He says “Without me you can do nothing.” May the Lord teach as to draw from Christ. His fathomless power, wisdom, and knowledge.

Colossians 2:3 the Bible says in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
When we get deep into Christ we dig as it were, the treasure he is. Treasures are never on the surface. So those who relate superficially with Christ will never enjoy the treasures in him. As you get deep in Christ, you get the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control and this get you loaded for impacts, for fruitfulness. As you dig deeper, you get the gift of the holy spirit: The gifts of Wisdom, Knowledge, Discernment…

The powerful virtues the world longs for. You, therefore, go out there and impacts the world.
Which better way to impact the world than writing. When the Lord has loaded you so much, put it in books. Books will spread your influence to places you never go. Let’s keep on impacting the world through writing
