It’s About God’s Promises

Your Feelings Can’t be Trusted but God’s Promises Can

Has your prayer life slackened? Do you feel like the circumstances of your life have shaken your faith? Has your Bible reading become a ritual rather than a blessed routine? Do you feel like your fellowship with the Lord has become fruitless? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this book has been written for you to remind you to live your life on the promises of God and nothing else. These precious promises of God create a true foundation for your prayer life. Believing and praying God’s promises is the secret to availing much in prayer and leads to a fulfilling and satisfying walk with God.

In this book you will learn to:

(a) Trust God rather than your feelings

(b) Build your faith in God’s promises

(c) Find God’s promises relevant for your current circumstances

(d) Encourage others to walk in God’s promises

What's Your Journey Been Like?

I received Christ In 1999 at a crusade where I was convicted by the Holy Spirit of my sin and rebellion of walking in my own ways rather than following God. I submitted myself to God and can testify that despite my faithlessness in some seasons God has always remained faithful.

I have 2 published books i.e., my first book is titled IT’S ABOUT TIME and my latest book IT’S ABOUT GOD’S PROMISES. I have one unpublished book in final stage of publishing that will be launched in a few weeks.

After publishing my first book my writing process was sharpened to focus on topical writing. Before publishing my first book I would write on different topics not connected to each other and which could not be combined into one manuscript but after publishing I do my best to focus on a single topic which can build up into a book.

I would like each book to stand on its own. However, should one book lead to a derivative book (sequel, series, devotion) then I would definitely like to connect the first book with its derivative book(s).

On average it can take slightly over a year to write a good book. However, the actual time it takes could be much shorter or longer depending on the content and size of the book. My latest book IT’S ABOUT GOD’S PROMISES took me about nine months to write.

In my late twenties when I could scribble notes of my thoughts on various topics in my note book though at the time, I was not even sure my ‘notes’ would see light of day as an article or book.

What work do you do away from writing?

Apart from writing I am a sales and marketing professional working in the automotive industry in Eastern Africa. In addition, I also enjoy serving God by supporting small growing churches as well as empowering widows and orphans.

Do you read your book reviews? How do you deal with bad or good ones?

Yes, I read my book reviews. The reviews from those who have read my books has been encouraging. As of today, I have not yet encountered a bad review but the grace of God will be sufficient WHEN that day comes.

Why is it important to manage time as an author?

As authors, we kill time, we save time, we rob and get robbed of time, we lose time, and we have all the time in the world. While none of us is powerful enough to stop the march of time or slow it down we can still get the most out of it. Maximizing the use of time is what makes the difference between a successful and a failed author.

What are common traps for aspiring writers?

I will mention three.

1. Firstly, losing originality by conforming to what is popular or what is salable.

2. Secondly, hurrying the writing so as to get published which could in some cases compromise the quality of the writing.

3. Thirdly, and lastly not taking in any feedback from your readers.

The bible is my favorite book and one of the most under-appreciated books. What I have discovered is that nobody outgrows the Bible. The books widen and deepen the more we keep studying it.
