Luke 1:26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
After reading this passage, I dared to imagine what great plans God could have for our children.
More kids in the bible became great such as Joseph, John the Baptist, David, Daniel, Moses.
These children were all raised surrounded by different kinds of troubles. But none of the troubles that these families faced was strong enough to change God’s great plans for each child.
This means that we need to;-
1) Ask God to show you what’s the plan for your daughter or son.
2) Pay attention to what He reveals.
3) Maintain a relationship with Him to the end.
4) Teach and train up our children in the way they ought to go, for we are all vessels that God can use for different needs.
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, oh how we need you today in our homes. Please help us understand our roles as mothers or fathers. Help the children to understand how you desire to send them out. Thank you for molding us. Indeed you are the Potter and we are the clay. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen
