A Revamped Journey is a forum for women who are widowed and journeying towards healing in different spheres of life.

Our experiences and challenges make us both unique and strong.

By coming together and exchanging our experiences, we strengthen one another through encouragement, words of wisdom, pitfalls to avoid, and ultimately moving on as God leads because He has promised us He will never leave nor forsake us.

The program is run by Julie Wagana, the author of Pain To Heal – Your Pain Will Heal Someone.

“I am a first time mum” is a support community for mothers who are pregnant for the first time.

The program will help you understand what to expect during pregnancy, labour and birth and postpartum and how to navigate different phases of motherhood.

This is mainly on Instagram and Facebook @i-am-a-first-time-mum through educational posts, talk sessions with experts and birth preparation classes.

The program is run by Terry Nzaumi, a social worker, birth & postpartum Doula, a mum of 2 girls, a wife and the founder of @i-am-a-first-time-mum community.

Going through Separation or Divorce?

Explore DIVORCE CARE PROGRAM

at Parklands Baptist Church

Two-Ships Solution (TSS) aim is to bring healing and restoration to individuals and married couples. Through the last decade, TSS have been able to work with many individuals and married couples seeing them emotionally healed and their marriage relationship restored even after being separated.

While TSS desire your relationship to work, they are cognizant of the fact that due to different factors it is sometimes impossible for the two to reconcile. The end result, divorce, can be very devastating and so we at TSS have devised a coaching program to help individuals go through this difficult journey of healing and recovery.

DIVORCE RECOVERY PROGRAM:

In this program, TSS provide a safe environment for you and help you,

 Deal with the loss of a dream, of a future together with your partner and of all that you have had together in the past. Divorce like death is a loss and so often we don’t grieve properly thus carrying on with our hurt

 Identify and accept your feelings, your emotions as so often divorce results in feelings of guilt, rejection and shame because of cultural and spiritual stigma of failure attached to it

 Ventilate your anger and feelings because we need to grieve the loss for us to heal

 Own your part by taking responsibility for your contribution to the mess because it takes two to tango. Then forgive yourself because so often we can be too hard on ourselves

 Rediscovery of self because so often we identify ourselves based on our status or lose ourselves in marriage

 Connect with a support group of like-minded people because many divorced people experience a deep sense of alienation from others especially family and the Church

 Encourage yourself with the fact that there’s hope for the future because divorce causes grief over the loss of a particular future and a fear about what the future holds.

TSS is run by Pastor Barnie and Grace Achoki, authors of the book Marriage, Thistles and Flowers

DivorceCare’s life-changing support groups welcome people and guide them on the path of recovery after separation or divorce. Over 1 million people have found comfort and hope through this 13-week, video-based series.

Through DivorceCare you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

UNDERSTANDING & ACCEPTANCE

People at DivorceCare understand how you’re feeling and what you’re struggling with—because they’re facing similar challenges. Everyone’s
story is different, and you’ll be accepted right where you are, in a safe
place.

ENCOURAGEMENT & HOPE

It’s so comforting to know you’re not alone and that you’re going to be okay. Through the videos and small-group discussion time, you’ll
hear from people who have felt there’s nothing left to look forward to—and now they’re starting to smile again. They’ll help you do the same.

GOOD ADVICE

Each week, you’ll watch a 30-minute video filled with practical suggestions from counselors and other experts on divorce recovery.
Plus you’ll hear from people who’ve experienced a marriage breakup and who share what’s helped them. Their insights will help you make wise decisions as you move forward.

A STRUCTURED APPROACH

When everything feels chaotic, DivorceCare’s structured approach provides stability. It helps you organize your thinking and manage your emotions. Each group is built around three main parts that work together

to provide the most effective healing experience: video, group discussion, and a participant book for practical application.
