One of the scriptures that God reminded me of at some of my lowest times is Jeremiah (29:11),
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future”.
Jeremiah 29:11
Earlier in life, it was very easy to confess and take the scriptures when life was going as I expected, but it was tough to believe the same after going through heartbreak, rejection, failure to live up to my dreams. I got pregnant when I was in my fourth year of Campus and life turned upside down from there. I had been loved and cherished by my parents but they were so disappointed beyond words description. I remember praying and asking God if I can still trust him when my life is not going as expected or when our expectations have not been met. I asked myself, does God still have the same plans for me, or have they changed? Are my hope and future the same or different?
The more I prayed, it sunk in my spirit that God’s plans and God’s word never change. He still loves me even at my lowest. Wherever you are, however, things are going, God still has good plans in store for all of us. Plans to give us hope and a future, this statement does not change in the eyes of God even when circumstances around us change.
Conclusion
I may not be married at the time I expected but God still has good plans for me. Choose to trust in God and his word, He has good plans in store for you. Plans to give you hope and a future. Be blessed!
